Col. Sani Bello was born in Kontagora on 27th November 1942. He attended Kontagora Central Primary School from 1950 – 1956 and Bida Government College from 1957 – 1962. Col. Sani Bello joined the Nigerian Army in December 1962. He graduated from Sandhurst, UK in 1965 and served in various Capacities in the Nigerian Army including ADC to the Nigerian Supreme Commander, Rear Commander of former 3 Marine Commando, Assistant Quartermaster General of 3 Marine Commando Division, Deputy Adjutant General Nigerian Army (1971 – 1975) before his appointment as the Military Governor of old Kano State (1975 – 1978). After his appointment as the Governor, He was posted to Staff College Jaji as the 1st Nigerian Principal Staff Of cer, before his retirement in 1979.
After retirement, he served as Chairman Niger State NYSC and Chairman Nigeria Table Tennis Federation (and took the team to both the Commonwealth and World Championships in 1983) before his appointment as Nigerian High Commissioner to Zimbabwe from 1984 to 1986.
At the expiration of his term as High Commissioner, He was appointed to the Boards of various Companies which are Law Union & Rock Insurance Company Ltd, Niger State Polytechnic, Niger State Science Schools Board, Globe-Re Insurance, Dantata&Sawoe Construction Company, Amni International Petroleum Development Company Ltd, MTN Nigeria Ltd and Mainstream Energy Solutions Ltd. He is also the Proprietor of Mustafa Comprehensive School and Sani Bello Vocational Training Centre. His hobbies include Table Tennis and Chess. He is married with children.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the School of Business of Virginia Commonwealth University Richmond, VA, U.S.A
He has extensive experience in the Oil & Gas (downstream) sector, telecommunications, food & beverages sector, agribusiness value chain, mining sector and education sector.
He is a Director in the following organizations; Oxtrich Creations Limited, Hadiraf H2o Limited, Hadiraf Cereal & Oil Mill, Allstream Energy Solutions Limited, Sbee Link Limited, Goldsbog Mining and Sani Bello Foundation. He is an art collector and loves to read about ancient archeological artifacts.
Alhaji Ibrahim Sani Bello is a Director in Allstream Energy Solutions Limited. A seasoned businessman, he started his career as a Legal Practitioner with Amni Petroleum Limited. He later joined Sanbell Investment Limited as a General Manager in 1997. He was the Project Coordinator in charge of the concession of Kainji Hydro Power Project in 2010 to Mainstream Energy Solutions by the Federal Government of Nigeria. He later became a director at Mainstream Energy Solutions Limited from 2013-2018. He is currently a board member of numerous companies such as Jos Electricity Distribution Company, Highland Integrated Electricity Services Limited, Sanbell Investment Limited to mention but few. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from the University of Maiduguri and was called to Nigerian Bar in 1996. He also obtained DBA and MBA from the University of Wales, Cardiff 1999 and 2000 respectively. He is happily married with children
Suleiman Sani Bello holds a BA (Hons) in Business Administration from the American Intercontinental University London, (2004) and an MSc in Communication Management from Bucks University London (2012).He started his career in Business Development at MTN Nigeria Communications Limited, during his time there he generated leads with the aim of creating sales, maintaining customer relationships and ensuring customer loyalty through excellent customer service as well as meeting all clients’ needs, appropriate to their business from 2004 – 2005, then he proceeded to Defcom Technologies Limited an International Telecommunications & Information Technology rm, where he later became Director.
Suleiman has vast experience in the Information Technology &Telecommunications sector, Oil and Gas (Downstream and Upstream) sector, Power and Energy sector (Focus on hydro power generation) and the Aviation and logistics sector with interest in the Marine sector.
He attended various quality trainings in Oracle ERP Product Launch, Corporate Governance: Effectiveness and Accountability in the Boardroom Kellogg School of Management, USA.He currently serves as a Director on different Boards which include Sanbel Training and Vocational Center, Mainstream Energy Solutions Limited, Dornier Aviation, Allstream Energy Solution Limited, Sublime Group of companies, Trans Sahara Energy Services Limited and Hydropolis Investment Limited. Amongst othersSuleiman is a member of the British Computer Society (BCS), UK and Member, Nigerian Polo Association Kaduna club, he loves to read books during his spare time.
